Lincoln City Council
Dan Marvin was elected to the Lincoln City Council on May 3, 2005. Mr. Marvin is an Investment Adviser. He has a Bachelor of Science degree in Philosophy from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, with continuing education work in accounting through Southeast Community College. He has also completed course work with the Association for Investment Management and Research and graduate course work at UN-L

Dan lives in Lincoln with his wife, Donna and their three children, Katie, Matthew and Emily.

Mr. Marvin has served on the Lincoln-Lancaster County Planning Commission since 2003; on the Mayor's 2002 Infrastructure Finance Committee as well as other community-based committees and boards, including his neighborhood association board. With his extensive community service record, he will bring a broad-base of experience to his work on the Council that will be a positive benefit to our community.

Dan is currently serving on the following committees in his capacity as City Council Member:

  • Railroad Transportation Safety District
  • Community Development Task Force
  • City Council Internal Liquor Committee
