Voters of Deadline to Return Special Election Ballots
Lincoln -- Lancaster County Election Commissioner David Shively reminded Lincoln Public Schools voters who have not returned their mail-in ballots for the February 11th Special Election that the ballots must be received in the Election Office no later than 5:00 p.m. on Election Day, Tuesday, February 11th.
Shively suggests that voters mail their ballots no later than Saturday, February 8th to ensure that they are received by the deadline. Ballots received after 5:00 p.m. on February 11th will not be counted.
Voters may drop their ballots off in person at the Election Office, which is located at 601 North 46th Street, Lincoln. The office will be open during the following times through Election Day, Tuesday, February 11th:
Friday, February 7th - 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.
Saturday, February 8th - 9:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m.
Monday, February 10th - 7:30 a.m. - 5:30 p.m.
Tuesday, February 11th - 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
In addition, the Election Office has a ballot drop box located on the north side of the building which is available twenty-four hours a day.
