Nebraska State Law requires that requests for early/absentee ballots to be mailed
for the November 4th General Election must have been received by the Election
Commissioner no later than 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 29th. That deadline has
now passed.
If you would still like to vote an early/absentee ballot for the November 4th General
Election, you must come directly to the Lancaster County Election Commissioner's Office
at 601 North 46th Street in Lincoln prior to 5:00 p.m. on Monday, November 3rd.
The Election Commissioner's Office will be open for early/absentee voting during the
following hours through Monday, November 3rd:
Thursday -- October 30th
8:00 a.m. - 5:30 p.m.
Friday -- October 31st
8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.
Saturday -- November 1st
9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. (noon)
Monday -- November 3rd
7:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
If a voter is unable to get to the Election Commissioner's Office, a family member
or friend may serve as an agent for the voter and pick up an early/absentee ballot for that
voter. A person may only serve as an agent for two voters. The Deadline for an agent
to pick up an early/absentee ballot is 7:00 p.m. on Election Day, November 4th.
PLEASE NOTE: ALL EARLY/ABSENTEE BALLOTS FOR THE NOVEMBER 4th GENERAL ELECTION
MUST BE RETURNED TO THE ELECTION COMMISSIONER'S OFFICE NO LATER THAN 8:00 P.M.
ON ELECTION DAY, NOVEMBER 4TH.
