Commissioner's Award of Excellence

The Lancaster County Board of Commissioners presented its July, 2011 Commissioners Award of Excellence to Alan Fulton, in the categories of Productivity and Customer Relations. Alan is a Nursing Supervisor in the Crisis Center at the Lancaster Community Mental Health Center. He began working for Lancaster County in May, 2006, and was nominated for this award by Kyle Mosher.
Alan's job requires working a variety of shifts to ensure quality and to provide performance assurance and medication room oversight. Kyle Mosher stated in his nomination that Alan shows genuine concern for his nurses and works to keep morale of the nursing staff at a high level. Mosher went on to state that Alan portrays a positive example for all staff through his professional conduct and concern for patients. Alan's dedication to duty and professionalism reflect the highest standards of nursing, and bring credit not only to him but to the Crisis Center and Lancaster County.
Dean Settle, Executive Director of the Community Mental Health Center, in validating this nomination stated "Alan is commended for hiring the best nurses for our mission. His leadership is exe mplary."
Deb Schorr, Lancaster County Board of Commissioners Chair, stated "The Board is pleased to recognize Alan for his outstanding dedication to his profession, patients and co-workers. The Commissioners Award of Excellence recognizes employees who consistently provide outstanding service and work that demonstrates exemplary personal commitment to Lancaster County.
