NEWS RELEASE

(Released On Behalf Of The Hallam Village Board By Lancaster County Emergency Management)

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: May 28, 2004

VISITATION AT HALLAM CEMETERY TO BE LIMITED TO RESIDENTS ONLY

The Hallam Village Board has made the decision to limit visitation to the cemetery in Hallam to residents only for Memorial Day, Monday, May 31. Currently, only vehicles driven by residents or clean-up crews are allowed into the community.

The amount of debris remaining in Hallam makes it unsafe for visitation to the cemetery by anyone who isn't a resident. The Hallam Village Board wishes to thank citizens for their patience and will allow visitation once the area is deemed safe for general travel.

A curfew remains in effect for the Hallam. The community is open to residents, emergency workers and clean-up crews from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. each day, but will be closed to everyone, including residents, on Sunday, May 30.
