Nixle is a nationally recognized free service delivering alerts for municipal agencies sent out as text messages (SMS), email, and web alerts instantly to users who have subscribed. The Sheriff's Office will use Nixle to push alerts out to residents about
emergency items, current media information, and planned events.
Alerts may also be sent to the official Lancaster County Sheriff Twitter page with a link to the Nixle alert or web site media release. Twitter followers should subscribe to @Lanc_Co_Sheriff
