High School Truancy Diversion

The Lancaster County Attorney’s Office, in partnership with Lincoln Public Schools, offers a voluntary diversion program for eligible high school students alleged to have been habitually truant from school.  A student who ultimately successfully completes the High School Truancy Diversion program will have their truancy filing dismissed and their court record sealed from public access.

Students will receive notice from the Lancaster County Attorney if they are eligible to participate.  At that time, the student and their parent/guardian will review and complete the following documents to enroll in the High School Truancy Diversion program:

  5. Release of Information
  6. Consent for Mental Health Screening
  7. Guideline for Requesting Therapy In School
  8. Acknowledgement and Consent for TDP


Parents/Guardians:  After downloading, reviewing, and completing the necessary forms, please email or mail the signed copies to your school's respective TDP Coordinator:
