Treatment Diversion began in April 2021 with a focus on serving individuals charged with a nonviolent felony in need of substance use/and or mental health treatment.  Treatment Diversion was primarily developed in response to an increasing number of possession of controlled substance cases.  Although Treatment Diversions primary focus is possession of controlled substance cases, other felony and misdemeanor charges may be eligible for the program.

Treatment Diversion enables individuals, without a prior felony conviction, the opportunity to receive evidence based treatment programming, structured supervision, and case management in order to ensure long term sobriety and recovery.

Treatment Diversion participants that complete the program will have their cases dismissed.

Individuals that have a prior felony conviction may be eligible for the Adult Drug Court program.

Individuals that are interested in further information or would like to be screened for the program should contact Treatment Diversion staff to set up a screening appointment.  Open screening hours are also available every Tuesday 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. and every Friday 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
