Purpose
The purpose of the Lancaster County Narcotics Prosecution Division is to utilize a specialized group of trained prosecutors and support staff to reduce substance abuse, addiction, and drug-related violence.
Nebraska has a critical interest in reducing substance abuse and preventing crimes stemming from the illegal drug trade. In Lancaster County we pursue these outcomes through a combination of problem-solving courts, diversion programs, and prosecution.
Goals & Objectives
The mission of the Lancaster County Narcotics Prosecution Division is to increase public safety through targeted prosecution and by providing programs that facilitate access to treatment, decrease substance abuse, and return law-abiding responsible citizens to their families and the community.
