American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA)

The American Rescue Plan Act of 2021 (ARPA) established state and local fiscal recovery funds for eligible State, Local, Territorial and Tribal Governments.  Lancaster County received their first installment of these funds in May 2021.  The County Departments and Officials developed priorities for the funds based on County plans, programs, processes and community engagement.  The selected priorities are supporting public health, addressing negative economic impacts, promoting equity focused services, and building up County infrastructure.

The state and local funds have been allocated to Lancaster County and to the City of Lincoln. Both entities have partnered together to prioritize and maximize the use of the ARPA funds in our jurisdiction. For more details visit lincoln.ne.gov/ARP

Non-profit grant opportunities can be found here.

Lancaster County 2021 Recovery Plan Performance Report provides a preliminary outline of projects selected by County Officials.  The initial 2021 report is a living document and will be updated as the projects are developed and community proposals are approved.
