Special Trip Permits

Notice: Please allow 48 hours for the processing of all special permits.

Insurance Limits

Prior to any movement of vehicles pursuant to this Special Trip Permit, the operator shall have on file with Lancaster County or produce at the time of issuance a certificate of insurance evidencing the following insurance coverage at the following minimal limits:

Commercial General Liability Policy

Type of Damage	Amount Per Occurrence	Aggregate Amount
Bodily Injury	$1,000,000	$2,000,000
Property Damage	$1,000,000	$2,000,000

Automobile Liability Policy

Bodily Injury and Property Damage: $1,000,000 Combined Single Limit

Authorized Company

The aforementioned insurance policies shall be obtained from an insurance company which is authorized to do business in the State of Nebraska and shall name Lancaster County as an additional insured.

Special Permit Types

Special Permits for non-divisible loads or equipment are available for any combination of over width, height, length, or weight as follows:

10-Day

10 day-Single or Round Trip Permits for travel on Lancaster County Roads and Bridges are available for $10 cash, check, or credit card (Visa, Mastercard, Discover, American Express). Routes available for this permit are limited by the capacity of the bridges situated on them.

10 Day Permit (PDF)

180-Day

180 day-Continuous Operation Permits for travel on Lancaster County Roads and Bridges are available for $50 cash, check, or credit card (Visa, Mastercard, Discover, American Express). Routes available for this permit are limited by the capacity of the bridges situated on them.
