Failure to Appear
Failure to Appear (No Warrant Program) was designed to help aid the juvenile courts by contacting youth that have missed a first court appearance; however no warrant is filed against them.

Juvenile Diversion is an alternative to traditional justice proceedings for youth ages 11 to 17 who have committed certain types of legal violations. Our goal is to prevent crime by teaching youth the skills they need to become more productive citizens.

Pre-Adjudication Community Services (PACS)
The Pre-Adjudication Community Service Program serves the Lancaster County Separate Juvenile Court, County and District court(s) to provide supervision for youth 12 to 17 years old that are pending adjudication or arraignment through court.

If your child is frequently on run or out of control, you may wish to contact the County Attorney’s office to determine whether you wish to have an Ungovernable Petition filed in Juvenile Court.

Juvenile Detention Alternatives Initiative (JDAI)
The Juvenile Detention Alternatives Initiative (JDAI), a project of the Annie E. Casey Foundation, has demonstrated that jurisdictions can safely reduce the use of secure confinement without impacting public safety. JDAI is based on eight core strategies that address the reasons why youth are unnecessarily detained.
