The Early Assessment Specialist (EAS) provides a coordinated approach in assessing the risk and needs of youth who come into contact with the juvenile justice system for their first offense. This position assesses juvenile offenders regarding their behavioral risks and rehabilitative needs and provides recommendations for appropriate interventions for youth based on the assessment. The Early Assessment provides the County Attorney's Office with valuable information to make a more informed and individualized decision on how to proceed with a citation.
