Biography

Matt Schulte was born in Lincoln. He graduated from high school in Grand Island where he spent many hours on the family farm and detasseled in the summers. He attended college at John Brown University. After college he lived in Chicagoland area and lead missions trips in Central America for many years. He eventually served with Casa Viva and helped to start foster care in Costa Rica. 

In 2011 Matt returned to Lincoln to become the Executive Director of Youth for Christ / Campus Life. Under his leadership YFC expanded its services to include: incarcerated teens (Juvenile Justice Ministry), pregnant and parenting teens (Parent Life), and expand Campus Life to rural Lancaster County. In 2020 Matt officially completed his ministerial license giving him the official title of "pastor". 

Matt and his wife Kristin have four children and a quarantine puppy. If you were to visit his home his children would serenade you with music and gladly show off their impressive Lego creations.

Committee/Community Service and Awards

Matt has previously served on the Lincoln Public Schools Board of Education where he visited all 60 schools in the district. Matt received his Nebraska real estate license in 2021.

Family & Hobbies

Matt's wife and four children get most of his free time. He also enjoys pickleball, a morning run, and reading books. In addition to regular Bible study he tries to read one book a month… if you have a recommendation, send them his way!
