Hospitals
Residents of the Village of Panama have access to excellent medical facilities in Lincoln, approximately 25 miles northwest of the Village. Present facilities include:
- Bryan Memorial Hospital East
- Bryan Memorial Hospital West
- Madonna Rehabilitation Hospital
- St. Elizabeth Community Health Center
- Veterans Administration Medical Center
Services Provided
These hospitals, with the exception of Madonna, are equipped with emergency rooms and a helicopter pad for emergency patient transport. Other services provided by the hospitals include:

Medical Services Provided by the Fire Department
Volunteer Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) services are provided to the Village through the Firth Rural Fire District. Eastern Ambulance Service, based in Lincoln, provides transport services.
Medical Services Provided by the Public Health Department
The Lincoln-Lancaster County Public Health Department offers various services to the residents of Panama and Lancaster County. In addition, those students living in Lancaster County are eligible for services if they attend the Norris School in Rural Firth.
