Hospital Authority Number 1 Board Of Trustees
The purpose of the board is primarily to advise the Board of Commissioners regarding the issue of tax-exempt bonds for the purpose of improving/building facilities for hospital type entities.

Indigent Defense Advisory Committee
The Indigent Defense Advisory Committee advises the Lancaster County Public Defender, upon request, regarding the appropriate caseload levels and compensation levels, and other matters as requested.

Infrastructure Task Force
The Lancaster County Board of Commissioners has created a task force to address the ongoing infrastructure needs of the County including roads, bridges, infrastructure maintenance and long-term planning.

Joint Budget Committee
Government is one of the key players in the important provision of human services for Lincoln and Lancaster County. Often times the nonprofit sector can provide those services at less cost and with greater expertise. The City and County formed the Joint Budget Committee (JBC) which oversees the distribution of City and County tax dollars for this purpose.

Justice Council
The primary purpose of the Justice Council is to serve as a vehicle for coordinating planning efforts within the criminal justice system in Lincoln/Lancaster County and to serve in an advisory capacity to elected officials regarding the best utilization of the criminal justice system that will accord best with the geographic, economic population and other factors influencing the needs and development of the community.

Juvenile Detention Alternatives Initiative (JDAI)
The Juvenile Detention Alternatives Initiative has demonstrated that jurisdictions can safely reduce the use of secure confinement without impacting public safety. It aims to provide individualized supervision, care, and treatment in a manner consistent with public safety to those youth under age 18 at the time of referral who violate the law.

Keno/Human Services Advisory Board
The Keno/Human Services Advisory Board reviews applications for funding from the Keno Prevention fund, which are dollars set aside from keno revenue for prevention programming in Lincoln/Lancaster County.
