New poll workers will serve as Clerks or Judges. The duties for these positions include checking in voters and issuing the proper ballots. The positions may interchange throughout the day. Poll workers will help set up and take down the voting booths and other equipment at the polling place. Legible handwriting, good eyesight, and good hearing are needed.
-Must be a registered voter in Lancaster County
-The ability to read and write English
-Must not be a candidate (except for convention delegates)
-Must complete election worker training.
Hours of work are 7 am to shortly after 8 pm on Election Days. Polls are open from 8 am to 8 pm.
Pay for poll workers is minimum wage, which will be $12/hour in 2024.
