Move all persons on the premises to a safe shelter location during a National Weather Service (NWS) severe weather warning.
Designated staff will monitor weather conditions on NOAA Weather Radio/Local Media Coverage/Computer Notification/Smartphone App and activate the severe weather sheltering plan when prompted.
Upon notification from the NWS of a severe weather warning, participants will: When the warning is issued, designated staff will activate the shelter plan. Participants will move to the designated severe weather relocation/shelter areas identified in the plan. Employees responsible for students/customers/patients/visitors will direct them to the shelter areas (when & where applicable). Employees will notify their supervisor when successfully relocated. Participants will remain in the shelter area until the warning expires or the ‘all clear’ is sounded.
